History

I had been working on the TouchTones project for almost a year, getting interrupted by life all the time. At some point in between moving to a new home and digging a garden and putting up a new roof on the shed, I just thought to myself: "I am getting nowhere. The game is almost done, and I keep going back to change things I've already changed". I needed to put it at rest, and do something else. Took some courses, read some books. And then I opened up good old Unity and Visual Studio again.

I really wanted to make a fast paced casual game. The kind of game I'd want to play myself. Something counter-intuitive and somewhat crazy. So I began building a game about being an egg, getting kicked out of the nest. At first you fell from a mountain and I thought: "You need to hit rocks to break out of the egg. That made sense. So I did that. Then the mountain disappeared, and I built a parachute. And some powerups. But powerups are bad, so healing the shell of the egg was something you'd want to avoid. Then came the cats. And the hat. And the strange eye in the triangle, and all that other stuff. I am just making it up, and it really is quite counter-intuitive, fast-paced and crazy.
